As we wrapped up the 2017 Mercer Asia HR Leaders’ Conference, we spoke with Jason Ho, Head of Group Human Resources at OCBC Bank. Mr. Ho shares his recent experience pioneering an artificial intelligence-powered HR chatbot called the “Buddy App.” He shares how HR and development team collaborated to develop this new application based on the agile methodology as opposed to the traditional waterfall model.
“Digital isn’t just about technology. From an HR perspective, we need to understand what the digital strategy is and how it aligns with the business,” says Ho. “HR transformation begins with changing mindset. Digital in HR means using technology, processes, people and data in an innovative way to align the HR function with changing business models.”
